Digital Product Expert – Head of Product, Retail Banking

About the role

The Proxy Product Owner works closely with the Product Owner and an Agile squad to turn product strategy and business requirements into digital solutions and seamless customer journeys within the Retail Banking Group.

Key responsibilities

• Define functional specifications, workflows, use cases, interfaces, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Gather and translate business requirements into clear, actionable software requirements.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog in line with the product roadmap and ensure sprint commitments are met.
• Contribute to sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives and demos using technical expertise.
• Identify technology opportunities that support business goals and act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams.
• Drive squad execution, monitor progress against roadmap, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, UX, Governance and Compliance.
• Support testing, release readiness and implementation activities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in digital product, technical project delivery, business analysis or software delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, create user stories, manage backlogs and work with Azure DevOps.
