Director, Assurance – Accounting Consulting Services

About the role

PwC’s Academy Middle East is seeking a technically strong and highly motivated Director to lead its Assurance – Accounting Consulting Services. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality IFRS technical advice, supporting conversion projects, and providing accounting guidance on complex transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate complex IFRS advice clearly to engagement teams and clients.
• Stay up‑to‑date with IFRS developments and shape client thinking.
• Provide timely, well‑documented IFRS consultations and financial‑statement reviews.
• Assist Assurance teams across the Middle East in preparing high‑quality IFRS financial statements.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Global Accounting Consulting Services (GACS) network.
• Coach, train, and mentor junior staff and support annual IFRS Update Training.
• Contribute to practice management and competency development.

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality IFRS technical advice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in IFRS developments and their impact on clients.
• Ability to work with Assurance teams and the broader GACS network.

• IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
