Director – Corporate M&A

About the role

We are seeking a high‑calibre Director – Corporate M&A to lead and support strategic acquisitions, investment analysis and transaction execution across a leading Abu Dhabi‑based investment and development platform. This senior position works closely with investment leadership, finance, corporate strategy and executive management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support execution of corporate M&A and strategic investment transactions.
• Evaluate acquisition opportunities, strategic partnerships and corporate investments.
• Conduct detailed financial and commercial analysis, including EBITDA, free cash‑flow, return and yield assessments, and LBO‑style investment analysis.
• Assess investment performance, long‑term value creation and commercial viability.
• Analyse transaction comparables, industry metrics and market opportunities.
• Lead and coordinate financial, commercial and operational due diligence workstreams.
• Support transaction structuring, commercial negotiations and preparation of investment committee papers, board materials and strategic recommendations.
• Coordinate with external advisors such as investment banks, consultants, accountants and legal counsel.
• Provide commercially focused advice to senior leadership and mentor junior investment team members.

Required profile

• 10–18+ years of relevant professional experience in corporate M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, private equity or related fields.
• Strong corporate M&A capability with substantial transaction execution experience.
• Excellent commercial judgement and strategic financial analysis skills.
• Background in infrastructure, project finance or real assets is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead complex transactions and work with senior stakeholders.
