Director – External Audit (ADGM)

About the role

Grant Thornton UAE is seeking a Director to lead external audit engagements for ADGM‑regulated entities and financial services clients. You will act as the primary contact for boards, audit committees and senior management while driving business development within the ADGM ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audits of ADGM‑regulated entities and financial services clients, ensuring compliance with ADGM, FSRA, IFRS and ISA requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with ADGM stakeholders, regulators and key market participants.
• Act as the main liaison for Boards, Audit Committees and senior management.
• Drive business development and expand Grant Thornton’s presence in the ADGM market.
• Provide technical guidance on complex financial reporting and regulatory matters.
• Mentor and develop senior audit professionals while upholding high audit quality standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in external audit, preferably with ADGM‑regulated entities.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead audit teams.
• Strong business development mindset and ability to expand market presence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ADGM regulations and FSRA requirements.
• Proficiency with IFRS and ISA standards.
• Audit methodology and technical audit guidance.
