Director – Fixed Income & Structured Credit Trading

About the role

The Director – Fixed Income & Structured Credit Trading will lead the bank’s trading activities across fixed income and structured credit products. Reporting to senior management, the role is accountable for generating risk‑adjusted revenue, managing trading positions within limits and supporting client execution.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trading activities in line with desk strategy, mandates and risk appetite.
• Generate revenue and deliver risk‑adjusted returns across assigned books.
• Manage positions, inventory, hedging strategies and market risk within approved limits.
• Provide competitive pricing, liquidity and execution support to Sales and Structuring teams.
• Trade bonds, sukuk, credit products, structured notes and credit‑linked instruments.
• Monitor market developments, credit trends, liquidity conditions and macro‑economic factors affecting trading.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM or ACI Dealing Certificate are preferred.
• Significant experience in fixed income trading, structured credit, debt capital markets or investment banking.
• Strong knowledge of bonds, sukuk, credit products, structured notes, credit‑linked instruments and market‑making.
• Understanding of market, credit and liquidity risk, valuation, capital usage and regulatory requirements.
