Director of Business Development

About the role

The Director of Business Development will lead the company’s growth initiatives, identifying new market opportunities, securing profitable projects, and strengthening relationships with key clients and strategic partners in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall business development strategy.
• Identify new projects, clients, markets and partnership opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with government entities, developers, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Lead pre‑qualification, tender assessment and proposal preparation.
• Coordinate with estimation, commercial, operations and technical teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and upcoming projects.
• Negotiate commercial terms, partnerships and joint‑venture opportunities.
• Manage the business development pipeline and report progress to senior management.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events and networking forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Extensive business development experience within construction, infrastructure or contracting.
• Established network in the UAE and GCC markets.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proven track record of generating leads and converting them into awarded projects.
