About the role

The Director of Catering and Conference Services will lead the catering and conference departments at the Ritz‑Carlton Dubai, ensuring service excellence that aligns with the brand’s standards. This senior position oversees all aspects of event planning, execution, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop conference and catering teams, setting goals and delegating tasks to improve performance.
• Coordinate menus, budgets, and logistics for client functions, driving revenue through proactive business solicitation.
• Monitor financial and administrative responsibilities, including asset protection and expense control.
• Collaborate with chefs, clients, and vendors to ensure high‑quality food presentation and seamless event execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with repeat groups to retain and grow business.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and internal policies throughout the event lifecycle.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of event management experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to manage diverse teams in a multicultural environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and integrity.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food and wine pairings and current event trends.
• Understanding of banquet operations and their impact on conference success.
• Ability to manage departmental inventories and controllable expenses.
