Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will lead the finance function, overseeing accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax and compliance across the organisation. This senior position translates business strategy into financial plans, drives performance reporting and ensures robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial accounting, management accounting, FP&A, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting, tax and compliance.
• Translate business strategy into annual budgets, rolling forecasts, scenarios, KPIs and performance reviews.
• Provide forward‑looking analysis on growth, investment, risk, capacity and resource allocation.
• Deliver timely reporting on revenue, gross margin, operating costs, cash flow, working capital, inventory and profitability by product, customer, distributor and market.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual close, reporting, reconciliations and audit readiness.
• Maintain accounting policies, chart of accounts, record retention and financial reporting standards.
• Oversee UAE VAT, corporate tax and other statutory obligations, coordinating with external auditors.
• Design and implement financial policies, delegation of authority and approval matrices for expenditure, procurement, contracts, credit, discounts, inventory, capex, payments and treasury.
• Own cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships and financing requirements.
• Optimise working capital, strengthen credit assessment, collections and supplier payment terms.
• Establish product and landed‑cost methodologies, ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation.
• Partner with operations, supply chain and product teams to improve manufacturing economics and product margins.
• Provide commercial and financial oversight of strategic procurement and major contracts.
