Director of Legal – Real Estate

About the role

The organization is seeking a senior legal professional to lead all real‑estate related legal matters. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will shape the legal strategy for major residential and commercial transactions across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and execute Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs) for large‑scale residential and commercial deals.
• Lead engagements with government land authorities such as DLD, RERA and their regional equivalents.
• Oversee land acquisition and disposal processes, including title transfers, Oqood registration, escrow compliance and NOC procedures.
• Advise senior leadership on regulatory risk, deal structuring and transaction execution.
• Manage external counsel and a small internal legal team.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 8 years of post‑qualification experience, including a minimum of 5 years in UAE real‑estate law.
• Fluent Arabic – both written and spoken (mandatory).
• Hands‑on experience with SPAs and DLD/RERA processes at the transaction level.
• Commercial instinct to advise on deals rather than merely review them.
• In‑house developer experience preferred; top‑tier private practice also considered.
