About the role
GEMS Metropole School in Dubai is seeking a dynamic leader to head its Performing Arts department. The role offers the chance to shape a world‑class programme within an international school environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Performing Arts department, ensuring high‑quality delivery across all year groups.
- Design and implement outstanding teaching and learning practices both in the classroom and across the department.
- Oversee GCSE and A‑Level (or equivalent) curricula and ensure alignment with the National Curriculum for England.
- Coordinate and participate in extra‑curricular activities and performances.
Required profile
- Certified teaching qualification with strong subject knowledge.
- Experience teaching GCSE and A‑Level (or equivalent) students.
- Proven record of outstanding teaching and learning.
- Significant experience of the National Curriculum for England.
- B.Ed. or relevant bachelor’s degree plus PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
- Willingness to commit to extra‑curricular activities.
