Director of Project Controls

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Project Controls to lead our project control team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves overseeing cost, schedule and estimating functions, and driving performance across the Asset Performance Solution business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage project control staff, ensuring effective cost, schedule and estimating processes.
• Accountable for the performance and results of the Project Controls function.
• Prepare and manage quarterly earnings gap analysis and support leadership to meet financial targets.
• Conduct monthly PSR reviews, manage agendas, approve actions and run meetings.
• Oversee project forecast model updates and support project managers with monthly updates and vendor accruals.
• Develop project variance reports, trend analysis and follow‑up on action items.
• Manage cost control activities including review, forecasting, reporting and risk analysis.
• Support global resource management and liaise with accounting for monthly close‑out, A/R and cash‑flow tracking.
• Support budget and forecast updates, quarterly SOX testing and project performance reporting.
• Oversee reporting systems development using Power BI and Power Apps, maintain performance analysis database and develop forecast models.
• Participate in defining global project cost‑control strategies, processes and risk‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 20+ years of experience in operations & maintenance projects, asset performance or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience in project controls or cost‑control environments.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and drive financial performance.
