Director of Projects – Real Estate Development

About the role

Dubai Holding Real Estate is seeking a seasoned Director of Projects to shape and execute its large‑scale development portfolio. You will lead the project management function, aligning initiatives with the company’s strategic vision and ensuring delivery excellence across all phases.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall project management strategy in line with corporate objectives.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for project risks, resource constraints, and delivery issues.
• Oversee project budgets, monitor cost performance, approve financial reports and lead cost‑optimization efforts.
• Govern change requests, communicate schedule and budget impacts, and proactively mitigate risks.
• Provide strategic direction on contractor management, procurement, resource allocation and acceleration plans.
• Collaborate with procurement, contracts and commercial teams for seamless execution.
• Lead project performance reporting and data analysis to support executive decision‑making.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and stakeholder alignment on cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• PMP certification.
• 15‑20 years of experience, including 8+ years in senior leadership roles managing large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary projects (developer experience preferred).
• Deep knowledge of UAE construction laws, building codes and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, risks, vendors and complex project lifecycles end‑to‑end.

• Primavera (project scheduling software).
• Power BI (data visualization and reporting).
• Microsoft Office suite.
• PMP certification.
