Director of Interior Design – Real Estate & Asset Development

About the role

The Director – Interior Design leads the creation and implementation of interior design concepts for Al‑Futtaim Real Estate projects, overseeing the process from early concept through construction documentation. The role provides both creative vision and technical leadership to ensure high‑quality interior environments across residential, hospitality and mixed‑use developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept development to completion, managing multiple design phases and consultants.
• Develop and maintain interior design brand standards, guidelines, and FF&E/OS&E specifications aligned with Al‑Futtaim Private Properties vision.
• Define design scope, negotiate design agreements and contracts, and control design costs.
• Conduct on‑site observations during construction to verify compliance with design intent and documentation.
• Represent Al‑Futtaim Real Estate in meetings reviewing design proposals, contracts and mock‑ups, and monitor departmental KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in high‑end residential or hospitality projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of applicable standards, regulations and design procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel) and MS Project.
