Director of Sales and Bids

About the role

Trapeze, part of the Modaxo group, is seeking a Director of Sales and Bids to drive growth in the Middle East public transport market. You will own the full sales cycle, from hunting opportunities to closing complex technical deals with senior government stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Pursue and close new business across the Middle East, building long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Own regional revenue targets, maintain an accurate rolling forecast, and develop a regional go‑to‑market strategy aligned with market needs and product positioning.
• Lead end‑to‑end tender responses, including bid qualification, win themes, and pricing strategy.
• Manage complex, technical sales cycles with public transport operators and government entities.
• Build and maintain account and contract forecasting plans for the region.
• Lead, coach, and develop a small regional sales team.

Required profile

• 10+ years of B2B technology sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated success selling into the Middle East and deep understanding of regional business practices.
• Strong knowledge of the public transportation/mobility sector and existing relationships with government‑run transport organisations.
• Extensive experience in public‑sector bids, pricing, and win‑strategy development.
• Ability to interpret client and industry requirements into compelling commercial propositions.
