District Sales Manager - Cardiovascular, UAE

About the role

Amgen is looking for a District Sales Manager for its cardiovascular business in the UAE, based in Dubai. The main purpose of the role is to improve revenue and market share in the assigned district by driving promotion activities and providing leadership to the field force.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a sales force and customer engagement strategy, and lead and coach the sales team.
• Work closely with the brand team and internal partners on customer-centric strategies, and turn Amgen's affiliate and brand strategy into regional plans.
• Analyze sales performance of the district's brands and identify key actions; keep the business unit informed of market and competitor changes.
• Develop territory plans, supervise marketing messages and programs, and lead approved budgets to control resources and spending.
• Monitor field force metrics and standards to improve sales force efficiency, and supervise action plans across sales cycles.
• Recruit, onboard, coach and motivate team members, run performance reviews and capability assessments, and support external key customer visits.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of people management experience in the UAE or Gulf region; experience managing sales teams is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven success in pharmaceutical sales in the UAE market.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong command of spoken and written English.
• Residency in Dubai, UAE; possession of relevant local legal qualifications.
• Preferred: 5+ years in hospital market sales and marketing, a bachelor's degree in life sciences or biomedical sciences, cardiovascular or bone health therapy experience, project management experience, and experience working with many fields and organizational levels.

Required skills

• Familiarity with computer systems, including CRM databases and MS Office.
