Divisional Manager - MEP Projects

About the role

The MEP Divisional Manager oversees the entire MEP projects division, managing the lifecycle of MEP projects from design through execution to ensure profitable, timely and high-quality delivery. The role carries full responsibility for the division's P&L, sets up governance for cost and revenue monitoring, resource optimisation and project performance reporting, and helps identify new MEP opportunities. It reports to the Operations Manager of EEE, with the entire MEP project management team reporting to the role.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P&L of the MEP division and establish systems to monitor costs and revenues project by project
• Optimise resource allocation and use Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to track budgets, schedules and contractual commitments
• Manage project scheduling with Primavera planning tools and oversee project reviews with the project management team
• Pursue new MEP opportunities by networking with key stakeholders and lead discussions on variations and changes
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors and oversee MEP design, planning, execution and handover for high-rise buildings, villas, malls and commercial facilities
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, codes and industry standards, and regularly review Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Lead procurement plans, coordinate with Admin, Finance, Commercial, Contracts and Supply Chain, and work with the Technical Manager to integrate energy-efficient solutions

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master's in Business Management preferred
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience managing MEP projects for residential, commercial towers and industrial buildings
• Minimum 3-4 years in a Divisional Manager role managing MEP projects in the UAE or another GCC country
• ESCO industrial knowledge is an added advantage

Required skills

• Knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) for large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of P&L management, cost control, budgeting and forecasting
• Expertise in Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and Primavera
• Leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
