Drafting Team Leader

About the role

NMDC Energy PJSC is seeking an experienced Drafting Team Leader to oversee discipline‑specific drafting activities across multiple projects. The role involves planning, allocating work, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring high‑quality engineering drawings are produced on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate drafting tasks based on workload, competence, and project priorities.
• Review project scope, specifications, and engineering requirements to create clear drafting work packages.
• Act as the final checker for drafting deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance before issue.
• Coordinate with discipline engineers to resolve technical queries, drawing discrepancies, and design changes.
• Prepare and review General Arrangement drawings, detailed drawings, material take‑offs, 3D models, and other discipline‑specific outputs.
• Integrate drafting activities with other disciplines to manage interfaces and design changes.
• Support project and construction teams by addressing drawing‑related queries and incorporating approved changes.
• Monitor drafting progress, identify resource or schedule constraints, and take corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and ensure compliance with drafting standards, quality procedures, document control, and HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma/Certificate in Engineering Drafting, Design, CAD or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant drafting/design experience in engineering, construction, marine, offshore or similar industries.
• Proven experience leading or coordinating drafting teams and checking engineering deliverables.
• Supervisory experience and ability to mentor drafting personnel.
