Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing front‑desk operations and ensuring a seamless guest experience at the Ritz‑Carlton Dubai. This role combines guest service, cash handling, and team leadership in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process all guest check‑ins, verify identity, payment method, assign rooms and issue keys.
• Set up accurate guest accounts, enter Marriott Rewards information and ensure correct rates.
• Secure payment prior to key issuance, adjust billing as needed and handle all payment types, vouchers and paid‑outs.
• Compile and review daily reports, cashier and closing reports, and manage contingency lists.
• Provide guests with directions, property information and respond to service requests, coordinating with appropriate staff.
• Balance and drop receipts, count and secure the bank at shift start and end, and follow accounting procedures.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any theft reports and follow safety protocols.
• Assist management with training, evaluating, counseling and motivating staff, acting as a role model for fair treatment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related hospitality work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a hotel or similar environment.
