About the role
The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking a Student Support Assistant to join the EAL team, providing support to students with English as an Additional Language.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual and small‑group support to EAL learners, adapting resources and strategies.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to the development and review of Individual EAL Plans and support programmes.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues, promoting confidence and independence.
- Participate in meetings, collaborate with the EAL team and strengthen home‑school links.
Required profile
- Fluent English speaker.
- Fluency in an additional language is an advantage.
