Electrical Engineer – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Wood is seeking a Rotational Support / Remote Electrical Engineer for its UAE business unit in Sharjah. The role provides electrical engineering expertise to site‑based teams, handling complex calculations, analyses, and supporting maintenance and operational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide EE expertise for Management of Change (MoC) and Engineering Queries (EQ) processes.
• Lead reliability analysis of electrical equipment using surveillance, maintenance, and condition‑monitoring data.
• Develop and update technical content of Equipment Strategies based on performance feedback.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations and defect assessments.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional accreditation (Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer) preferred.
• Substantial experience with engineering, maintenance and operation of electrical equipment in oil & gas facilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
