Electrical Inspector – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

The Electrical Inspector will ensure that all electrical and low‑current works on construction sites meet design specifications, local regulations and quality standards. This 12‑month contract position involves close coordination with contractors, sub‑contractors and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Attend site inspections and coordination meetings to verify the quality of electrical works.
• Witness testing, commissioning and hand‑over inspections, and prepare related reports.
• Conduct site surveys, obtain approvals from local authorities and support the design team.
• Maintain records of work performed, defects identified and corrective actions.
• Monitor health and safety activities on site and ensure compliance with DEWA regulations.
• Review design, as‑built drawings and O&M manuals for accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a consultancy role and 2 years on DEWA projects.
• Proven experience in construction, testing & commissioning, and liaising with local authorities.
• UAE driving licence and proficiency in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
