Electrical Technician – C&P (Dubai Airport)

About the role

BP is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform electrical checks, inspections, testing and maintenance on refuelling vehicles, mobile equipment and airport facilities at Dubai Airport. The role supports the UAE Emiratisation initiative and welcomes candidates of all genders.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, testing and repairs on dispensers, refuellers and related airport equipment in line with Air BP regulations and local legislation.
• Perform independent maintenance tasks according to the preventative maintenance programme and defect reports.
• Record all maintenance activities in SAP or prescribed formats and act as an authorised Permit to Work signatory.
• Deputise for the Maintenance Supervisor when absent and support the supervisor in daily responsibilities.

Required profile

• Engineering Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Automobile or related field.
• Extensive experience in aviation refuelling or major automotive maintenance environments.
• Valid UAE driving licence and fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems and HSSE standards.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Vehicle diagnosis using OBD scanner.
• PLC system knowledge.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
