Endocrinology Specialist – Al Wagan Hospital

About the role

The Al Wagan Hospital, part of Al Ain Hospital, is seeking a qualified Endocrinology Specialist to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive endocrine care, collaborate with peers, and contribute to clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, take medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, prescribe medication, and perform relevant procedures or surgeries.
• Collaborate with other specialists and support services to ensure integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
• Supervise and educate junior medical staff, residents, and students.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, obtaining informed consent as required.
• Adhere to hospital policies, DOH regulations, occupational health, safety, and infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Completed residency or fellowship in Endocrinology.
• Minimum 2–3 years of post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility letter; current license from last practice country.
• Certificate of good standing from the relevant licensing authority.
• Successful completion of the DOH licensing exam.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are an asset.
