Engineer - Cloud Security Platforms

About the role

As an Engineer in the Cloud Security Platforms team, you will support the design, implementation and maintenance of security tools across cloud and hybrid environments. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to embed security controls into daily operations and development pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for network firewalls, web application firewalls, cloud security groups and native cloud security services.
• Monitor, document and respond to security incidents, handling escalations as required.
• Maintain vulnerability management tools, ensure systems run on stable releases and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Assist in the rollout of new security controls, automate routine tasks and contribute to security projects and audits.
• Collaborate with InfraOps, governance, DevOps and business teams to integrate security best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in IT security, network administration, cloud operations or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Experience with network firewalls and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with cloud‑native security features such as security groups and Defender‑for‑… (as applicable).
• Vulnerability management and incident response capabilities.
• Automation of security tasks (scripting or tooling).
