Engineering Operations Technician Internship – Data Center

About the role

Join Amazon Web Services as an Engineering Operations Technician Intern and work on the critical infrastructure that powers the world’s largest cloud. You will support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a data‑center environment, ensuring 100% availability for mission‑critical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment such as generators, UPSs, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers and HVAC systems.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and record daily operational readings.
• Use the internal Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and coordinate with third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• Student in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, graduating by the end of 2027.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) and a valid driving licence with personal transportation for daily site commute.
