English Teacher

About the role

The English Teacher will deliver the SABIS® curriculum, fostering academic achievement and personal growth for students. The role involves using the SABIS® teaching methodology and point system to create a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons using provided plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Implement the SABIS® point system to maintain a conducive classroom atmosphere.
• Invigilate exams and ensure a properly managed testing environment.
• Support low‑performing students through targeted interventions.
• Prepare students for external examinations by reviewing past papers and following revision schedules.
• Assist with additional duties such as testing, substitute teaching, lunch and bus organization, traffic control, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in student life events, coordinating with the student life coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset.

• MS Office proficiency.
