English Teacher – Seer Bani Yas Charter School (Immediate Start)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an English Teacher for Seer Bani Yas Charter School in Abu Dhabi, teaching Grades 6 and 7 with an American‑based curriculum. The role starts immediately and involves delivering engaging lessons to a boys’ middle‑school cohort.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver English lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater to the full ability range.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and external professionals such as speech therapists.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and act as a positive role model.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, including running a weekly ECA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with ESL learners.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check.
• Commitment to the school’s values and the wellbeing of children.

Required skills

• Experience teaching students for whom English is not the first language.
• Ability to use data from assessments to inform planning and intervention.
