About the role
The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at WIA – NL works remotely to ensure that all organizational activities and events comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assess environmental and occupational health risks associated with events and operations.
- Develop, update, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and compliance with regulations.
- Provide guidance on safe working practices for both remote and in‑person activities.
- Document and report EHS metrics, recommending improvements to support community well‑being.
Required profile
- Demonstrated expertise in EHS practices, risk assessment, and mitigation.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and ability to interpret relevant regulations.
- Experience in occupational health, including ergonomic and psychosocial risk awareness.
- Strong communication skills to convey EHS requirements to diverse stakeholders.
