About the role

The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at WIA – NL works remotely to ensure that all organizational activities and events comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Assess environmental and occupational health risks associated with events and operations.
Develop, update, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and compliance with regulations.
Provide guidance on safe working practices for both remote and in‑person activities.
Document and report EHS metrics, recommending improvements to support community well‑being.

Required profile

Demonstrated expertise in EHS practices, risk assessment, and mitigation.
Knowledge of environmental compliance and ability to interpret relevant regulations.
Experience in occupational health, including ergonomic and psychosocial risk awareness.
Strong communication skills to convey EHS requirements to diverse stakeholders.
