Expert Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Expert Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statutory reports, and supporting the company’s tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information.
• Summarise current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
• Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by analysing account information.
• Prepare VAT and relevant tax returns.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups and following internal controls.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Produce special financial reports by analysing trends and account data.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 1‑2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Comfort working within a small finance/operations team and a desire to improve financial systems.
• Experience in a marketing agency or service‑based business is preferred.

Required skills

• QuickBooks or Tally (or similar accounting software).
• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Financial accounting, managerial accounting, ledger management, bookkeeping, invoicing.
