External Communications and Events Manager – Africa & Middle East

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic External Communications and Events Manager to lead high‑profile aerospace projects and regional initiatives across Africa and the Middle East. The role involves coordinating large‑scale events, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring flawless execution in fast‑paced environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional external communications projects, including airshows (Bahrain, Nigeria, Dakar) and MRO events.
• Oversee company presence at airline association assemblies, opening ceremonies and high‑level receptions.
• Support the External Communications team during aircraft delivery events.
• Plan and execute physical event spaces, manage booth layout, technical coordination and vendor selection.
• Direct on‑site operations, manage event agencies and external delegations under pressure.
• Serve as primary contact for event organisers, government authorities and internal departments such as Finance and Procurement.
• Manage regional sponsorship packages and coordinate external suppliers, vendors and PR agencies.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in communications, project and event management.
• Proven ability to engage with senior airline executives and government officials.
• Exceptional resilience and decision‑making in high‑pressure situations.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple overlapping projects.
• Team‑player comfortable working in multicultural, cross‑functional environments.
• Professional presence suitable for representing a global brand to top‑tier dignitaries.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the Middle East and Africa.
