Faculty Member – Applied Media (Design & Media Production)

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks a full‑time faculty member for the Applied Media program, focusing on Design and Media Production. The role involves delivering instruction to second‑language learners, supporting student success, and contributing to the college’s academic and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver applied media courses using the syllabus and educational technology resources.
• Develop and manage assessments, provide continuous feedback, and maintain accurate grading records.
• Advise and mentor students, including support for internships and at‑risk action plans.
• Conduct applied research aligned with national innovation priorities and present findings at conferences.
• Participate in faculty, program and college committees, and serve as a sponsor for student groups.
• Maintain teaching facilities and contribute to curriculum revision and quality‑assurance processes.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least five years of combined teaching and industry experience.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in the relevant field.
• Three or more years of relevant industry experience, preferably with curriculum development expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate educational technology into teaching and assessment.
