Field Engineer – Offshore Installation & Loadout

About the role

The Field Engineer supports offshore and on‑shore projects by applying technical knowledge to solve straightforward field and yard issues. Working under moderate guidance, the role ensures safe, efficient installation of equipment and structures while complying with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all work follows Quality, Health, Safety & Environment policies.
• Travel offshore and be available on‑shore as required.
• Develop vessel layout and barge load‑out plans for safe material transportation.
• Participate in constructability sessions, readiness reviews, hazard identification, and job safety analyses.
• Review and retain project drawings, flagging discrepancies and errors.
• Prepare offshore installation procedures, material lists, and load‑out lists.
• Coordinate with Marine, E&M, Welding, Quality, HSES, Survey, ROV, Diving departments and subcontractors to secure equipment and personnel.
• Witness and inspect pre‑rigging, load‑outs, sea fastening, and receipt of fabricated structures.
• Collaborate with production engineers and logistics for cargo movements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of offshore installation processes and safety standards.
• Ability to analyze technical drawings and recommend changes for safe operations.
• Willingness to travel offshore and work in challenging environments.
• Good communication skills for liaising with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
