Field Service Engineer - Gas and Process Division

About the role

The Field Service Engineer provides high-quality service and technical support for the complete portfolio of turbo machinery (turbo compressors and turbo expanders) across the MEA region and Pakistan. Acting as the main technical liaison with customers, the engineer plans, executes and closes service activities, with extensive regional and international travel required. The role is based in the customer centre in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, inspections and major overhauls on turbomachinery, including on LNG vessels during sailing and in dry dock.
• Manage work scopes, manpower and schedules for service orders, and prepare risk assessments, RAMS and inspection and testing plans.
• Deliver technical service reports and recommend spare parts, retrofits and upgrades.
• Interface with product engineering and support teams, and provide on-site training to customer personnel.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safety plans and international safety standards; work at heights, in confined spaces and with breathing apparatus.
• Support aftermarket data analysis with sales and commercial teams during quieter periods, and be available for extended hours, weekends and on-call duty.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years servicing, maintaining and repairing rotating equipment.
• Relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications.
• Willingness to travel extensively on short notice.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of turbo machinery (mechanics, hydraulics, lubrication, seal gas).
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
• Excellent communication, reporting and organizational skills.
