Finance Director

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) is seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to lead financial operations across its six school campuses in Abu Dhabi. This senior leadership position will shape the group’s long‑term financial strategy, ensure robust governance, and support executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy, aligning with organisational goals and growth objectives.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management for all six branches.
• Ensure financial transparency, regulatory compliance, internal controls and manage cash flow, working capital and financial risks.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities, establish financial KPIs and monitor student fee collections and revenue forecasts.
• Lead, mentor and develop finance and accounting teams, collaborating with school principals and other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) strongly preferred.
• 12–15 years progressive financial management experience, including senior finance leadership roles.
• Prior experience in the UAE education sector managing multiple schools or campuses is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of UAE taxation, regulatory compliance, financial reporting standards and corporate governance.
