Finance Manager

About the role

Flyby is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own the company’s finances, working closely with the CEO and external accountants. You will ensure accurate reporting, cash management, and provide clear financial insight for the board and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial reporting and month‑end close in collaboration with external accountants.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and maintain a rolling cash‑flow forecast.
• Manage receivables and payables to ensure timely cash movements.
• Maintain and update the financial business plan as the company scales.
• Prepare clear monthly reports for the CEO, board and investors.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax, coordinating filings with advisers.
• Manage banking relationships and day‑to‑day treasury functions.
• Build and improve finance processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA preferred.
• 5+ years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a startup or scale‑up.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE VAT and corporate tax.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho Books.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate reporting and analysis.
