About the role

We are seeking a Remote Financial Accountant on a contract basis to support a global leader in financial services. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP or IFRS, and delivering reliable financial statements for our client.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial records, guaranteeing accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct audits of transactions and systems, identifying risks and irregularities.
• Analyze financial data to spot trends, discrepancies, and inefficiencies, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on reporting, budgeting, and audit processes.
• Document findings, produce detailed reports, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements under GAAP or IFRS.
• Proficiency in audit procedures, risk assessment, and internal‑control evaluation.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
