Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our finance team. The role supports strategic decision‑making by delivering insightful analysis, forecasting and budgeting for a luxury retail business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly retail performance analyses in partnership with Retail leadership.
• Support annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts.
• Conduct monthly P&L reviews, highlighting risks, opportunities and variances.
• Collaborate with HR to analyse payroll‑related costs.
• Maintain accruals, cost‑driver tracking and marketing cost tracker.
• Coordinate monthly sales target setting across regions.
• Calculate retail commission schemes accurately and on time.
• Assist with Capex tracking and store‑level financial compliance.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the Finance Director on strategic projects.
• Document finance policies to strengthen controls and governance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in retail or luxury environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• High attention to detail and analytical capability.
• Proven track record of process improvement or automation.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with JD Edwards.
• Familiarity with Hyperion or similar planning systems.
• Programming/database skills such as SQL or VBA.
• Experience using Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
