Food & Beverage Supervisor – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Food & Beverage Supervisor ensures smooth day‑to‑day restaurant operations, supports the leadership team in delivering high guest satisfaction and leads the team in the manager’s absence. This role is based at the luxury SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences, a 5‑star property within the Accor group.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to guarantee smooth service.
• Assist the restaurant leadership team in achieving high guest satisfaction.
• Guide, train and lead the restaurant team, stepping in as manager when required.
• Maximize sales and encourage up‑selling to increase revenue and average check.
• Secure cash floats, handle cash, credit cards and cheques according to company procedures.
• Control costs, minimize overtime and equipment misuse, and ensure adequate supplies and equipment.
• Record voids, report payment discrepancies and manage requisitions for supplies.
• Address guest complaints promptly and liaise with Head Chef, Reception and other departments.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain asset condition and uphold cleanliness and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ management experience in restaurants and bars.
• One to two years in a public‑contact role, preferably within an upscale or lifestyle hotel brand.
• Gracious, friendly and fun demeanor with strong verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast‑paced environment and maintain high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to maintain positive working relationships across departments.
• Independent worker who also promotes teamwork.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems.
