Food Trading Manager – Retail

About the role

The Food Trading Manager will drive trading initiatives across Al Futtaim’s Food Business Unit in the MENA region. Working closely with store and support teams, you will ensure consistent merchandising standards and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Trading Calendar, trading metrics, and clear Trading Guidelines for the food hall.
• Equip store teams with the tools and coaching needed to achieve best‑in‑class merchandising daily.
• Lead and mentor retail teams through multiple transformation projects, adjusting plans to meet timelines and objectives.
• Coach store and regional managers from concept through post‑implementation review.
• Champion a customer‑focused approach across the Food Business Unit.
• Deliver visual standards for product launches on the sales floor and backstage, ensuring stores meet best‑in‑class expectations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and store management experience, preferably within food retail.
• Strong visual merchandising expertise with the ability to coach teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Robust commercial acumen and decisive problem‑solving under pressure.
