French Teacher – Primary & Middle School

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking an enthusiastic French Teacher to join its Primary and Middle Section starting August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality French language instruction to young learners, fostering both linguistic competence and cultural appreciation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess French lessons for primary and middle‑school students.
• Develop engaging, curriculum‑aligned teaching materials.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and across school phases.
• Utilise IT tools to enhance classroom learning and maintain records.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievement.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and complete a UK‑enhanced DBS check.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master of Arts in French (distance or open‑university degrees not accepted).
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in a similar role.
• Experience with the CBSE curriculum is preferred but not essential.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach to teaching both inside and outside the classroom.
• Strong teamwork orientation and good command of English.
