French Teacher – Primary (Start Aug 2026)

About the role

GEMS Founders School – Nad Al Hamar is opening its doors in August 2026 and seeks an enthusiastic French Teacher for primary‑level students. This role offers the chance to deliver high‑quality British curriculum lessons while integrating the rich cultural heritage of the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging French language lessons for primary pupils.
• Adapt teaching materials to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
• Participate in school events, professional development sessions and community activities.

Required profile

• Hold a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor’s degree with PGCE/PGDE, or an equivalent French teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching French to primary‑age children.
• Commitment to GEMS values of Grow, Flourish and Honour.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Fluency in French (both spoken and written).
• Knowledge of British primary curriculum frameworks.
• Effective classroom management techniques.
