Further Mathematics Teacher (Start August 2026)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Further Mathematics teacher to join Sunmarke School starting August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality mathematics instruction to secondary students, fostering analytical thinking and a love for the subject.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Further Mathematics curriculum in line with the UK National Curriculum and IB standards.
• Prepare engaging lesson materials, including problem‑solving workshops and examinations.
• Provide targeted support to students to develop advanced mathematical concepts and exam techniques.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure a cohesive STEM programme.
• Participate in extracurricular maths clubs, competitions and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Teaching certification or equivalent experience in secondary education.
• Strong communication skills and ability to inspire learners.
• Commitment to the school’s Positive Education ethos.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Further Mathematics topics (calculus, algebra, statistics, mechanics).
• Experience using digital learning platforms and classroom technology.
