General Accountant – Fashion & Retail

About the role

MANEL, a luxury fashion brand operating in Dubai across B2C and B2B channels, is seeking a hands‑on General Accountant. The role supports daily accounting operations, prepares financial statements and ensures compliance with UAE tax regulations in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly financial reports such as profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Manage VAT filings and ensure full compliance with UAE tax laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and banking partners.
• Monitor cash flow, payments and collections.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory and production costs.
• Support management with ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, fashion, trading or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good command of English; Arabic is a plus.
