General Accountant

About the role

Royal Joinery is seeking an experienced General Accountant to support its financial operations in Abu Dhabi. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with UAE regulations, and provide reliable data to aid strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations and general ledger activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audit processes.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, fit‑out, joinery or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
