General Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented General Accountant to manage the day‑to‑day financial operations of a premium hospitality and equestrian destination. As the sole on‑site finance representative, you will own the full accounting cycle and work closely with the Chief Accountant to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger processes.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, customer invoicing and collections.
• Maintain accurate ledger entries, perform account reconciliations and daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Reconcile revenue across memberships, riding activities, events, F&B, retail and other business units.
• Monitor cash flow, assist budgeting and forecasting, and prepare VAT schedules in line with UAE regulations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset and inventory records, verify expense claims and support internal and external audits.
• Liaise with banks, vendors and internal departments, and identify process improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, leisure or multi‑revenue environments.
• Proven ability to manage AP, AR and GL independently.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
