General Accountant

About the role

Establishy is seeking a General Accountant to join its Dubai team, supporting entrepreneurs and organizations with financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit preparation. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues to ensure accurate month‑end close and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Report business transactions in line with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assist with month‑end close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE laws.
• Identify risk areas and propose solutions for clients.
• Support the annual audit process, including drafting financial statements and notes.
• Research and analyse expense variances for management.
• Handle VAT and corporate tax registration, reporting, filing and returns.
• Prepare client statements, profit and loss, and income statements on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or ACCA a plus.
• Previous experience as a General Accountant or similar role, preferably in corporate or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and month‑end closing.
