General Accountant – Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

The General Accountant will support the finance team of a luxury hotel, ensuring accurate processing of payments, expense verification, and month‑end financial activities. This role acts as a liaison between the hotel and the Shared Service Centre, maintaining smooth document flow and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer accounts payable activities, reconcile supplier invoices, and prepare payments, including staff and petty‑cash disbursements.
• Verify and process expense reports from all departments daily.
• Coordinate invoice approvals via the Docuware system and follow up with department heads.
• Prepare monthly credit tips, incentives, service charges, and attendance data for payroll processing.
• Assist supervisors with month‑end journal entries, utility accruals, inter‑company cross‑charging, and AP accruals.
• Review contracts, maintain critical date lists, and support renewal processes.
• Support cost control activities, inventory uploads, and CAPEX requisition reviews.
• Generate daily revenue reports and manage third‑party tenant invoicing and collections.
• Liaise with the Shared Service Centre to resolve enquiries and ensure timely issue resolution.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and standard accounting procedures.
• Strong mathematical ability and proficiency with a 10‑key calculator.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to handle guest and employee concerns in a friendly, positive manner.
