General Insurance Manager (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven General Insurance Manager to lead underwriting, policy administration and claims management across multiple insurance lines in Dubai. The role combines technical oversight, team leadership and business development to ensure portfolio profitability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate complex risks, approve quotations and provide technical guidance for Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet and SME lines.
• Lead, mentor and train underwriting teams, ensuring timely delivery and quality control of proposals and policy documents.
• Negotiate premiums, terms and conditions with insurers and support sales teams in client meetings and renewals.
• Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations and refunds while ensuring compliance with KYC and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with sales to win new business, track market trends and drive cross‑selling and revenue growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general insurance underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong knowledge of multiple insurance lines (property, liability, engineering, marine, motor fleet, SME).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and motivate teams.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the UAE insurance market.
