General Ledger & Income Audit Lead

About the role

The General Ledger & Income Audit Lead is responsible for overseeing revenue verification and financial recording across Yas Plaza Hotels' shared services. This senior position ensures daily revenue integrity, compliance with internal controls, and accurate general ledger management within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, posting all journal entries accurately and on time.
• Execute monthly closing procedures, including accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, investigating variances.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with accounts payable, receivable, and other finance teams to ensure data completeness.
• Oversee daily audit of hotel revenue streams (rooms, F&B, spa, etc.) and verify reports against POS and PMS systems.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue postings, voids, discounts, and payment variances.
• Ensure proper recording of service charges, taxes, and gratuities in line with policies.
• Review night‑audit summaries and work with front‑office and F&B departments to maintain compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA or equivalent is a plus).
• 10+ years of hotel or hospitality accounting experience, focusing on AP and general ledger functions.
• Strong knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
• Proven ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Experience with hotel accounting software such as FMC, SunSystems, OPERA.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Understanding of USALI standards.
